In July of 2009, Denise, an animal therapy volunteer, told us about a dog she had met at Ramona Animal Shelter. We weren't sure we were ready for a dog, but we asked if she would bring him by so we could meet him. She willingly complied. On that first day he impressed us with his calm, but inquisitive manner.
Buster roams throughout the community. His day is filled by greeting staff members as they arrive to work, checking on the people who live here and looking for the community's cat, Snoball, who largely ignores him. He loves to run in our courtyard and enjoys sleeping in the Lazyboy(get it?) recliner and on the sofa in the front reception area. When visitors come he leads the way as they look at our community.
Buster is a great dog. We don't know a lot about him, but we do know he loves when kids come in, especially babies. He gets along great with other dogs and when we had water play day, he was the doggy host for 10 dogs!!!! Water play day was just a few weeks after Buster got here and the look on his face seems to say, "Boy, did I pick a great place to live or what?!"
